Charging Your Car's Battery

Jumper cables are a quick solution for a dead battery but using a battery charger can charge your battery to its full capacity, perfect for those times when you accidentally leave your headlights on all night long.

Take your unplugged battery charger and place the positive, red clamp on the positive terminal of your battery. You can then place the black, negative clamp on the negative terminal on the battery. You can now plug in your charger into a wall socket, leaving it plugged in until it has fully charged the battery, a process which can take several hours. Once it's fully charged, unplug the charger before removing the clamps in the order you placed them on the battery.
