Awards Continue to Accumulate for the Kia Optima

The Optima has been no stranger to awards lately, and thanks to its stylish design, long list of available features, and overall value, the accolades continue to roll in. Fresh on the heels of recognition from Kelley Blue Book and J.D. Power, Road & Travel Magazine selected the Optima for its International Car of the Year, last week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Kia's bestselling vehicle has earned the award twice now, with its first win coming in 2013. Furthermore, this is the fourth year in a row the award has gone to a Kia vehicle: The K900 won for 2015, and the Cadenza won for 2014.

Michael Sprague, chief operating officer and EVP, KMA, commented on the Kia's winning streak: “To win the prestigious ICOTY award four years in a row, with two models winning their categories this year, is a clear indication that our products continue to offer a world-class balance of design, amenities, craftsmanship, safety and value for today’s savvy consumers.”
