Over the past few years, Kia Motors has been heavily investing in manufacturing facilities in the United States of America. Thanks to the vision and can-do attitude of the people of West Point, Georgia, a community is flourishing and has become an American success story.
Kia Motors has this to say about their new, massive, state-of-the-art Georgia facility:
"We believe we're building more than great cars in the U.S.-because we are. Our family has grown to more than 3,000 talented team members at the plant and another 7,500 at nearby suppliers-that's more than 10,000 new jobs-and we are committed to developing the most efficient, environmentally sustainable and sophisticated manufacturing facility in the country. We're creating something truly special, but we're just getting started."
Hyun-Jong Shin, CEO of Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia writes:
"I want to tell you a few things about Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG). We are extremely proud to call KMMG the home for the Kia Sorento and Kia Optima in the United States. Both vehicles continue to lead the way for Kia in the U.S. as our team members truly build world class products with dedication to top quality that is second to none."

KMMG's team members truly embrace the spirit of challenge and demonstrate this each day with an incredible commitment to this company as we strive to achieve our ambitious production goals. . ."

Despite its notoriety for offering cost-effective motor vehicles, Kia Motors is not here to simply cater to just one demographic of economy vehicle seekers. Rather Kia manufactures everything from quality entry level vehicles for college graduates like the Kia Soul, to high end, luxury vehicles like the Kia Cadenza and K900.
With a design center based in Irvine, California, Kia Motors is infusing its American line-up of quality motor vehicles into the American way of life, and designing them around the wants and needs of everyday Americans.
Kia Motors maintains a commitment to the environment and sustainable business practices. Why? Because the Earth is everyone's home. And we're in it for the long haul, and that means not only do we take great care to look after the members of our Kia family, but also maintain a commitment to our communities and our planet.
